Pascagoula River Sunrise

Acrylic on canvas

30 X 20

A view of Farragut Lake and the Pascagoula River at the east end of our daily walk where we now have a small pier.  I painted this in the spring after Katrina (2005) and the trees were either washed away or damaged, and small pines, weeds and cypresses were beginning to be visible.  We have an excellent view of the sunrise most mornings in the summer.  In the winter, the sun is more to the right, even out of view in December.

This painting is about finding beauty wherever you are….
