Seahorse Bowl and Fruit

Oil on canvas

36 X 48

This painting has never been shown before, although I have owned it for the many years since I painted it after the Edgewater show at the Ohr.

The seahorse was one of the symbols of the Edgewater.  Bronze floor lamps in the lobby were topped by a seahorse.  We were fortunate to acquire two of the lamps at the auction of hotel furniture.  There are more seahorse inspired paintings which will be posted as I photograph this collection.

This still life was set up in my kitchen while we were living in Pascagoula, and my kitchen chairs are shown in the negative space.
